Jaandar Animal Welfare Organization

About Jaandar

Founded in 2021, Jaandar’s mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and protect street animals by providing food, medical care, and support. We fight against culling and promote humane population control by implementing the 2021 Animal Birth Control Policy through TNVR. Through awareness and education, we foster compassion and coexistence to create a safer world for all street animals.

Letter from the Founder

I found my purpose in animal rights, not because I like animals, but because they endure violations unlike anything humans face.

To help them, I have spent two years observing them closely on the streets, understanding their lives. Animals do not need shelters. They need their home, the streets, to be safe and healthy. Yet, in Pakistan, dog culling is common.

Has this improved the country?

We frame this issue as human versus animal, but it is actually superior versus inferior. Animals are deemed inferior, yet their treatment shapes society. Studies reveal a disturbing link. Abuse of animals often precedes abuse of humans.

When we justify violence against animals, we normalize violence against marginalized groups, creating a society filled with abuse, crime and terror.

This country does not need more construction. It needs compassion to address the root causes of its problems.

Patriotism is not blind praise. It is about identifying flaws and working to fix them.

I love my country and my desi strays, and I believe when Pakistan stops viewing them as inferior, true change will begin.
